Sustainability Advisory Committee Last updated or reviewed on April 18, 2024 The Sustainability Advisory Committee (SAC) is responsible for developing and recommending policies to support initiatives such as sustainable energy, waste reduction, sustainable economic development, and land use planning. The committee consists of nine Asheville City residents who are appointed by City Council. The term of office is three years. Regular Scheduled Meetings The meeting is currently scheduled for the third Wednesday of every other month at 3:30 p.m. The Committee will meet in person through 2024 unless noticed otherwise. The meeting normally lasts two hours. Meeting materials are posted on this web page two days prior to the meeting. Meeting Notice: The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in person in the first floor conference room of City Hall at 70 Court Plaza.
