The Commission consists of seven members, five City residents appointed by City Council and two residents of the extra-territorial area of the City and appointed by Buncombe County Commissioners. The length of term of office is three years. Notwithstanding the foregoing, all members appointed by the Asheville City Council shall serve at the pleasure of Council, and may be removed at any time with or without cause.
Regular meetings of the Commission shall be held on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the First Floor Conference Room of City Hall (70 Court Plaza), unless otherwise announced. Meetings are held in-person.
