We offer afterschool for youth and teens in locations conveniently located across the City. Programming includes age-appropriate activities, including homework help, organized games, free play, crafts, and more. Our teen programs also include the chance to participate in community service projects to build responsibility and maturity. Join us for the 2019 Asheville-Buncombe Senior Games and Silver Arts Competition. Athletes and artists ages 50 and up are eligible to compete in a variety of contests located throughout the area. For a complete list of athletic competitions, download the schedule here. If you're an adult artist, you can compete in a juried artist exhibition or an art performance event. Top finishers in each event are eligible to compete at the State level later this year. Early registration is only $5 through March 11 and $10 from March 12 through April 2. The games begin with Opening Ceremonies on April 2 and end on May 3 with Closing Ceremonies, Silver Arts competition, and an announcement of the top finishers. It's our favorite time of year! Come watch a movie under the stars in Pack Square Park on a HUGE inflatable movie screen.
