What we do Last updated or reviewed on February 23, 2026 Operations Updates APR Community Centers will operate on an inclement weather schedule today Linwood Crump Shiloh and Tempie Avery Montford centers will provide inclement weather care from 10am-6pm with indoor activities for kids and teens including crafts, learning, snacks, and get-to-know-you games available for $5 per child, and each child or teen should bring their own lunch and drink Murphy-Oakley and Burton Street centers are closed All other community centers are open from 12-6pm, but regular programs are cancelled including APR Afterschool, sports leagues, and athletics practices Council on Aging of Buncombe County’s Senior Dining at Grove Street and Crump Shiloh centers will not serve lunch Please be aware that parks and greenways may have slick surfaces, downed trees, and other hazards as crews continue work to clear parking lots and sidewalks February Programs & Events Karaoke, painting, Valentine’s Day celebrations, and highlighting Black voices are just some of the ways you can find where you belong in February.
