Is that a chill in the air or something more? Asheville Parks & Recreation (APR) casts a spell on the city with kooky, spooky, and scary events throughout October.
The Neighborhood Advisory Committee invites all of Asheville to gather for a day filled with neighborly interaction, learning, and fun for the whole family at the Festival of Neighbohoods - Sept. 30 . This event is aimed at bringing together neighbors from all corners of Asheville with the primary goal of strengthening the bond between residents, neighborhood associations, and local organizations to create a harmonious and thriving community.
In the event of an emergency, you need to know where you can turn for information, advice, or even a helping hand. There are resources, both locally and nationally, to help you weather any storm.

Starting Sunday, September 17, at 7:00 p.m. contract work will begin that spans across Patton Ave. from the south to the north side. To ensure crew and community safety, there will be a full road closure from N. French Broad Ave. down to N. Ann Street. This will take place at night only (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) to minimize traffic disruption and impact on area businesses and the community. To further minimize impact, the area will be open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the duration of this phase.
