Public Safety Committee

The Public Safety Committee will review policy updates and make policy recommendations that ensure:

  • Advise on public safety policy direction in areas of police, fire, and emergency management services.
  • Review matters relating to intergovernmental relations related to public safety issues, including cooperation with other law enforcement, fire, and emergency management agencies.
  • Provide guidance on disaster preparedness and recovery to foster a safe environment that allows residents, visitors, and businesses to thrive.
  • Support the development of and updates to the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).
