- The west side of Carrier Park including the velodrome, lawn bowling court, playground, skating rink, basketball court, sand volleyball courts, and sports field is closed due to Helene-related destruction
- The east side of Carrier Park including the picnic shelter, wetlands education area, rolling lawn, and parking lot is open
- French Broad River Greenway is open throughout Carrier Park
- For safety and enjoyment, visitors are urged to exercise caution and be mindful of surroundings while utilizing the riverfront recreation areas impacted by Tropical Storm Helene. Please adhere to any posted signage, barriers, or instructions from park staff regarding closed areas or potential hazards.
