More winter weather and low temperatures are moving through our area this weekend. The City of Asheville wants to keep you up to date.

Due to icy road conditions all ART Transit routes are suspended tonight, January 19 beginning at 8:45 p.m. ART Transit routes will operate on a delayed start on January 20 and will resume normal operations at 11 a.m.

Public Works crews and snow plows are actively spreading salt on roadways as needed and will continue to do so until conditions improve.
Inclement Weather Care on January 19
- Inclement Weather Childcare with indoor activities, crafts, and get-to-know-you games available for $5 per child at Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center beginning at 9 this morning. Each child or teen should bring their own lunch and drink, but snacks are provided.
- APR Afterschool programs cancelled at all sites. Please reach out to your child’s site manager with any questions.
- Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center will close at 6 p.m. Chess Club and Fitness for Teens are cancelled, but will resume next week.

- All community centers close at 6pm. Evening programs, activities, and sports practices and games cancelled.
Closures and Cancellations on January 20
- All community centers are closed and all programs, activities, and sports practices and games cancelled. Community centers plan to reopen on a regular schedule on Sunday, January 21
