Did you know the City of Asheville has a goal to reduce landfill waste by 50% by 2035? 

Please join us in being part of the solution! The Spring Free Store is a  fun “shopping” event that is good for your wallet and for the planet. The Spring Free Store is like a yard sale, but FREE!

Get to know your neighbors at this fun community event and help contribute to our community waste reduction goals and neighbor to neighbor focused sharing economy!

When Is It?

Donation Days: Tuesday, May 14 – Thursday, May 16, 9:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Store Days: Friday, May 17, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. & Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

What can I donate? 

  • Clean and in good condition clothing/accessories/shoes
  • Home goods (that one person can carry)
  • Toys & books
  • Electronics
  • Sporting goods

What is not accepted? 

  • Dirty or ripped clothing
  • Broken items/items that do not work
  • Food
  • Furniture and other large items
  • Personal care products

Market Guidelines: 

  • Service animals only
  • Children must be attended by an adult
  • Free items are not intended for resale
  • Bring your own bags or boxes to carry your items
