Asheville Asks: Why did I receive a notification that my water service will be cut off?
While most customers have since resumed regular payments for utility services; some have not paid their bills since before Hurricane Helene, which occurred a year ago. Beginning in early November, customers who have outstanding balances will be notified of water service cuts.

Temporary water pre-treatment systems to remain operational through November
The City of Asheville is sharing an update on the temporary water pre-treatment systems installed at the North Fork and DeBruhl water treatment plants after Hurricane Helene.
