City of Asheville seeks facilitator to “Boost the Block” – submit your RFP

The City of Asheville is seeking a Community Facilitator to lead a multi-year planning, engagement, and implementation effort to support and ensure the success of the “Boosting the Block” project, funded by a grant from the Mellon Foundation.  

The Boosting the Block project is part of the Pack Square Plaza Vision Plan. More information and the Request For Proposals (RFP)  advertisement is available on the City’s Bid page . 

The Community Facilitator, whether an individual or a team, will play a pivotal role in strategically
planning and executing the “Boosting the Block” project and promoting community development in
Asheville.

Dates to know

  • Virtual pre-proposal meeting  November 28, 2023 (not mandatory)
  • Questions submissions by November 29, 2023. 
  • Submissions Deadline December 11, 2023. 

The Block, which stands one block from Pack Square,  is a historic Black business district and multicultural hub in downtown Asheville.
