Asheville Blue Ribbon Committee to begin to draft recommendations

The City of Asheville’s Blue Ribbon Committee – Human Relations Commission welcomes Asheville residents to attend its meetings and be part of a community conversation.

The next meeting of the committee will begin at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Public Works First Floor Conference Room, 161 S. Charlotte St. Here is a look at the draft agenda:

  • Review and approval of September 20, 2017 and

October 4, 2017, minutes                                                         5:30 – 5:35 p.m.

  • Research group breakout                                                    5:35 – 5:45 p.m.
  • Report out from research groups (10 minutes each)          5:45 – 6:05 p.m.
  • Discussion of group reports and begin to draft

recommendations                                                                   6:05 – 7 p.m.

The committee is also scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at the City Municipal Building, 100 Court Plaza, 4th Floor Police & Fire Training Room.
