The City of Asheville is pleased to announce that Asheville Rides Transit (ART) bus service will begin ramping back up to full service starting July 1, 2025. Routes previously suspended will resume but select trip cancellations on these routes may occur due to fluctuations in daily staffing levels. Any adjustments to the service will be communicated via iRide email notifications and on the City’s Transit Service Alerts page.
We understand how essential reliable transit is to our community and apologize for any disruptions this situation may have caused. The City is actively working with our transit service provider, RATPDEV, to accelerate the hiring and training of qualified drivers and fully restore service as quickly as possible.
What’s changing as of July 1:
- Route WE1 (eastbound): Service will return to every 30 minutes. See the WE1 schedule here.
- Route N2: Full service resumes; N1 will no longer detour along Beaverdam Road. See the N2 schedule here.
- Routes N3 and W6: Service will return to every 30 minutes. See the N3 schedule here and the W6 schedule here.
The City appreciates the community’s patience as the transit operations team works to stabilize staffing levels.
