Capital Management

The Capital Projects Division manages major construction projects, working with engineers, architects and contractors to maintain high standards in building and improving Asheville’s public infrastructure and facilities. Project managers within this division are seasoned professionals who are experienced in bringing project plans to life.

Citywide investments implemented by the Capital Projects team include:

• New public building construction and renovation of existing facilities
• Recreation amenities such as playgrounds, ballfields and sports courts
• Transportation infrastructure such as streetscapes, sidewalks and greenways
