The City of Asheville is taking additional steps to connect with people whose voices are often missing from decision making processes. Your Voice, Your Choice is an opportunity to sign up to receive invitations to participate in the matters most important to you.

This will be a critical resource for guiding and shaping the City’s efforts to honor the diverse and inclusive spirit of Asheville.

“The Your Voice, Your Choice sign up is one way city staff is working to foster more inclusive engagement,” stated Communication and Public Engagement Director Dawa Hitch. “We hope Asheville residents will join in this effort to stay connected and bring missing voices into decision making processes.”

Your Voice, Your Choice

The questionnaire is short and simple – choose your affiliations. Here are the questions:

  1. I would like to voice my lived experience in these areas:

    • BIPOC
    • LGBTQ+
    • Youth
    • Seniors
    • Self-identified as disabled
    • Other
  1. I choose to be notified of projects and initiatives related to these areas:

    • Business
    • Arts
    • Houselessness
    • Recreation
    • Sustainability
    • Technology
    • Transportation
    • Other

Participants have the opportunity to provide their name and email or only an email. Your Voice, Your Choice is available in Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian. You can request to be removed from the contact list at any time.

Use Your Voice

Responses will populate a contact list that will be used to invite community members to contribute their viewpoint and experiences.

Make Your Choice

Simply choose the topics that truly interest you. We’ll send you information about projects and initiatives in those categories.

Your Voice, Your Choice will remain open on the Engagement Page of the City of Asheville website. The page can be accessed from the engagement tab at the top of the website, www.ashevillenc.gov.
