Parada , Ear and Corl in recording studio

The City of Asheville’s bi-monthly radio show enables the community to delve deeper with the City of Asheville staff and departments.

You can learn about different departments and what projects are taking place in your community.

In this episode, host Sam Parada talks with Chris Corl, Director of Community and Regional Facilities, and Walter Ear, Interim Director of Capital Management, about how the City utilized its facilities during Helene.   From using Harrah’s as a short-term shelter and water distribution hub to how the City’s Fire facilities helped first responders act quickly, these actions helped our community members through the first harrowing hours and days of the storm.
