Update: Patton Avenue traffic signal repaired

The traffic signal on Patton Avenue at Otis Street next to the Federal Building has been repaired.

The contractor is also installing the pedestrian signals and they should be completed in a few hours.

Earlier story:

On Saturday, August 20, at approximately 10 p.m. a vehicle hit the traffic signal pole on Patton Avenue at the intersection of Otis Street. Due to the accident, the traffic signals at that intersection are not working.

Stop signs have been erected on Otis Street to help control traffic until the signals are repaired. Patton Avenue traffic has the right of way during this temporary traffic pattern.

Work to repair the signals will begin later today or Tuesday and should take around 5 hours.

During that time the public can expect lane closures on Patton Avenue in the westbound curb lane. City staff is working to repair the broken traffic signal as quickly as possible.

We would advise motorists to avoid this intersection until the repair is made.
