Splasheville back up and running!

Splasheville update:

Splasheville is back open! The repairs have happened and its time to play in the fountain! Grab the kids and their swimsuits and head on down. Thank you to everyone for your patience while the fountain was closed for repair.

Earlier:

Our contractor has finally been able to get a replacement control panel. They will be programming it as soon as they can and will be scheduling a day to install it. Hopefully we will be up and running soon.

Original post:

After replacement of filtration canister on Splasheville last week, the operating system suffered a power surge to the control panel. So the water feature is not working at this time. The control panel affected operates the fountain jet pattern.

City maintenance is working with our fountain contractor for a solution to get it back up and running. Right now we do not have a timetable for its repair though we are working to expedite that repair to get Splasheville open.

Hundreds of people, from families to summer camps and youth groups, visit Splasheville in Pack Square Park each season. We appreciate its place as a popular cooling off and play space for the citizens of Asheville.

We will notify everyone as soon as we have a timeline for repair and especially when the fountain is up and running.
