Our partners at North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will be carrying out urgent pipe repair work on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, on  Swannanoa River Road between Tunnel Road (US 70) and Governor’s View Road.

This work will prohibit non-resident vehicle access in this area from 7 a.m. Saturday 12/6 until 7 a.m. Sunday 12/7.

If you’re planning a visit to the WNC Nature Center or other venues in the area, please use Azalea Road for access.

Please monitor NCDOT social media pages for updates.
