It’s that time of year again! On Saturday, Sept. 13, the City of Asheville is partnering with Asheville GreenWorks, Buncombe County, local businesses, and non-profit organizations to collect items that can be recycled but don’t belong in the curbside bin.

When: Saturday, Sept. 13 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Volunteer for post-collection sorting and packaging

We need your help! The City of Asheville Sanitation Division is seeking volunteers to help sort, rinse, weigh, and package collected material on the Monday following the main event. Please choose a 1-hr time slot from the options provided. PPE (gloves) will be provided. No experience or specialized training is necessary to participate.
 
When: Monday, Sept. 15 | 10 am-2 pm (1-hr time slot)
Where: Public Works Building | 161 S Charlotte St, Asheville 28801 | Room A109 (1st Floor)
Bring: Refillable water bottle
Parking: If you are not a City of Asheville employee, please park in one of the free designated visitor parking spaces at Public Works.
