City of Asheville Invites Public to View and Provide Input on Riverfront Recovery Designs with Design Workshop, Survey, and Community Events

Residents are invited to a drop-in design workshop to view multiple design concepts and visualizations shaped directly by public feedback on the French Broad Riverfront Parks Project and the Azalea Parks and Infrastructure Projects. Join the Project Teams at a Community Design Workshop, Saturday, February 28, 2026, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., for a first look at how project teams have translated the community’s priorities into visual plans for a more resilient riverfront.

Muni Disc Golf temporarily closes to allow for partner utility repair

Asheville Muni Disc Golf Course will be temporarily closed from September 22 through October 3rd to allow for the replacement of a natural gas line running through the course area that was damaged during Tropical Storm Helene.  The Muni Golf course will remain open at this time.

The Asheville Municipal Golf Course has teamed up with Chris Dickerson, professional disc golf player and the 2020 U.S. Disc Golf Champion to design a championship-length, 18-hole disc golf course utilizing the front nine area of the Asheville Municipal Golf Course located at 226 Fairview Drive.
