The City of Asheville is looking for community input on traffic calming – the installation of roadway features to reduce motor vehicle speed and improve safety for all roadway users.
Participants can share thoughts on the current traffic policy and what changes they would most like to see in a future update.
This public engagement, open until Friday, August 21, builds on the great turnout and thoughtful conversations at our May 26 public meeting. You can view the input received from that session in an engagement summary.
Survey participants will be able to select and rank priorities for what they’d like to see in the updated policy improvements, weigh in on potential trade-offs, and respond on whether traffic calming is or isn’t working in their neighborhood.
Feedback gathered will inform City staff and the project consultant as they draft the updated Traffic Calming Policy.
