The City of Asheville is pleased to announce that Jade Dundas has been appointed as an Assistant City Manager, effective immediately.
“Jade has done an exceptional job serving in the role of Interim Assistant City Manager. He brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and leadership experience that has strengthened our organization” said City Manager Debra Campbell. “His ability to collaborate across departments and focus on solutions has been especially vital in our Helene recovery efforts. I am confident in his continued leadership to serve in this role.”
Jade first joined the City in 2015 as Water Resources Director and has since held key leadership roles, including Capital Management Director and Interim Assistant City Manager (2017–2018 and again since February 2025). His extensive experience and steady leadership have been instrumental in guiding the City through critical projects and, most recently, in supporting Asheville’s recovery from the impacts of Tropical Storm Helene.
“It has been an honor to serve the City of Asheville over the past decade in a variety of roles” said Jade Dundas. “I am grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to continuing to support our community, our employees, and the important work ahead as Assistant City Manager.”
Please join us in congratulating Jade on his appointment and thanking him for his continued service to the City of Asheville.
