Fourth of July fireworks

The City of Asheville will put on a fireworks display downtown for the Fourth of July! However, for this year, there will be no accompanying festival activities. While there will be no food or drink vendors at the park, people are welcome to bring their own picnic or order take-out from a favorite restaurant.

DJ Nex Millen will supply music on the Pack Square Park stage from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, before the fireworks display at approximately 9:30 pm.

“We are excited to offer a safe environment for people to come together downtown to view the Fourth of July fireworks display this year,” said City Manager Debra Campbell. “We would urge people to come enjoy this free, safe fireworks display rather than to risk shooting off fireworks in neighborhoods, which can pose fire and safety risks.”

No tents or cooking will be allowed and as per parks policy, no alcoholic beverages. Dogs should be leashed, but please be aware that fireworks frighten many dogs so for this reason please consider leaving your pet at home.
