The next meeting of the Asheville City Council will be held at 5 p.m.  Tuesday, February 25.  It will be held in the Council Chamber on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, 70 Court Plaza.

The Council meeting agenda is posted on the City’s website.

Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.10 this will be an in-person meeting that the public can access remotely.

Budget Public Comment Opportunity

At the February 25 Asheville City Council meeting, a special public comment opportunity for the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget will be held as staff begins the planning process. The annual budget process is a critical opportunity for the community to help shape the City’s funding priorities for the coming year. Public input plays a vital role in ensuring the budget reflects the needs and aspirations of Asheville residents, especially during the recovery from Tropical Storm Helene.

The City Manager’s Proposed Budget (to be presented on May 13) will be informed by community input from this early public comment opportunity and direction received from City Council.

For those not able to attend the meeting in person, you may leave comments by email or voicemail. Emails or voicemails must be received by 9 a.m. on February 25. See section below.
