The Wall Street Parking Garage will close completely for two weeks to finalize vital repairs beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 25. All vehicles must exit the garage by 7 a.m. the following morning, September 26. Also on the morning of September 26, the Rankin Avenue Garage will become fully operational, a final step following its partial reopening on September 1.
The Wall Street Parking Garage is anticipated to fully reopen by October 10 in alignment with the City’s commitment to reopen both garages in early October, and to ensure the necessary repairs are completed before cold weather prevents temperature sensitive work from continuing. Work that does not require garage closure will continue through the remainder of the calendar year. The completion dates for construction are based on expected conditions, and unforeseen circumstances may arise that extend repair work and garage closures.
The City recognizes the impact that parking garage closures may have on downtown visitors, businesses, residents, and employees. More information about parking in Asheville can be found by visiting the City of Asheville Parking Services page, or find real time availability for City and County parking decks on the Asheville App.
