playing softballAsheville Parks & Recreation athletic programs are designed to provide wholesome recreational opportunities for residents of the community of all skill levels and ages. Emphasis is placed on fair play and sportsmanship.

A variety of team and individual sports programs, leagues and events for youth and adults, in both traditional and contemporary athletic venues are offered. These programs enhance the health and well being of the participants involved, as well as impacting the social and economic wellness of the community.

Fee: $600/team plus $25 for each non-City of Asheville resident

PLEASE NOTE: Special requests regarding game schedules should be submitted in writing with the roster and payment. While we try to accommodate all such requests, we can't guarantee that we can honor all of them.



The Asheville Parks & Recreation Department partners with Black Mountain Parks & Recreation for youth basketball in the following age groups: Grades K-1 Coed, Grades 2-3 Coed, Grades 4-5 Coed, Grades 6-8 Boys and Grades 6-8 Girls. Teams are created using a blind draw and will practice once per week and have one game per week. Most games will be played on Saturdays in Asheville or Black Mountain.
Fee: $15 (City residents receive a $5 discount.)

WNC Fall Baseball

The longest-running fall baseball program around! The league offers baseball for youth ages 4 to 17. Divisions include T-Ball, 2A, 3A, 4A, Junior League and Senior League.
