9/17/24 S4 762 Due to a sidewalk & lane closure on S. French Broad Ave, Bus Stop 762(S French Broad Ave at Vernell Ave) for Route S4 will be missed.   Anticipated time of closure is from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 9/17/24.

In lieu of Stop 762 passengers may board at Bus Stop 761 located on S. French Broad Ave in front of Asheville Middle School or Bus Stop 763 located on S. French Broad Ave near Bartlett St.  
9/12/24 S1, S2 & S5 Multiple Due to a downed power line on Biltmore Ave detours are in place for S1, S2 & S5.  Anticipated time of repair is before 5:00 PM.  The following Bus stops will be missed:

604 – Biltmore Ave at Short Coxe Ave
605 – Biltmore Ave at Choctaw St
654 – Biltmore Ave at Choctaw St
655 – Biltmore Ave at McCormick Pl
999 – Biltmore Ave at John Walker Ave
9/6/24 to 9/15/24 S3 113, 461, 721 & 722 Due to the Mountain State Fair a detour is in place for Route S3.  Stops 113(WNC Ag Center Park-n-Ride), 461(Airport Rd at Terminal Dr), 721(New Airport Rd at Fanning Bridge Rd) & 722(New Airport Rd at Airport Park Dr) will be missed, 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM from 9/6/24 to 9/15/24.

In lieu of Bus Stops 113, 461, 721 & 722 passengers may board buses at Bus Stop  790 on Wright Brothers Way near Terminal Dr.  
9/5/24 to 9/27/24 S4 767, 768 & 769 **Update**Road closures for Depot St have been extended for an ongoing MSD Project.  A detour is in place for Route S4, Bus Stops 767(Depot St at Southern St), 768(Depot St at Oakland Rd) & 769(Oakland Rd at Hibernia St) will be missed.  Anticipated time of closures are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 9/5/24 to 9/27/24.

In lieu of Bus Stops 767, 768 & 769 passengers may board at Bus Stop 157 located at the corner of Depot St and Livingston or Bus Stop 770 located on Oakland Rd near Haith Dr. 
8/27/24 to 9/24/24 W5, WE1 & WE2 300 & 302 Due to a road closure on Patton Ave, detours are scheduled for Routes W5, WE1 & WE2.  Bus Stops 300(Patton Ave at Otis St) and 302(Patton Ave at Clingman Ave) will be missed.  Estimated time of closure is 24 hours a day for the next 4 weeks.

In lieu of Bus Stops 300 & 302 passengers may board outbound buses at the ART Station located at 49 Coxe Ave.

Due to the ongoing City of Asheville’s Stormwater Improvement Project, expect delays for Routes W5, WE1 & WE2 weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM until further notice.

Due to staff shortages, customer service hours of operation at the Transit Station at 49 Coxe Ave. may differ from regular hours. Until further notice, expect the following changes:

  • On Tuesdays after 5:00 PM, customer service may be unavailable. 
  • On Saturdays after 5:00 PM, customer service may be unavailable.
  • On Sundays & Holidays, customer service may be unavailable. 

To avoid coming to the transit station for customer service-related activities when staff is unavailable, please plan your trip outside the hours listed above and within the regularly scheduled hours of operation. Customer service being unavailable means that riders are unable to purchase tickets, submit and process discounted pass applications, reach the help number at 828.253.5691, and receive information on routes and schedules, among other services.
