Upcoming ARRA Public Meetings


ARRA Vendor Support Session

On November 18th the City will host a vendor support session in the 4th floor of the Asheville Municipal Building at 100 Court Plaza. This event will update vendors on how to access information on ARRA grant funding.  Two sessions on the status of ARRA grant funding and opportunities will be offered.  (9:30-10:30 and 11:30-12:30pm)  Q & A will follow each session.  Parking is available in the County Parking Deck off College Street, the deck off Biltmore Avenue and metered street parking where available.  For more information, contact Brenda Mills, ARRA Project Manager at 259-8050.  Event Flyer

 

Past ARRA Public Meetings


The City of Asheville partnered with regional business support agencies to host a forum on the impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) on businesses Thursday, October 15, at the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College’s Enka campus.

Representatives from various agencies involved in business development were on hand to provide information on services available to business owners.  Participating agencies included: the City of Asheville, Buncombe County, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the A-B Tech Center for Business & Technology Incubation, the Small Business and Technology Development Center, Asheville SCORE, Mountain BizWorks, and the Procurement Technical Assistance Counselor Office, among others.

Attendance was free of charge and open to the public.

The City of Asheville held two public meetings to provide information to the public on the stimulus funding and how it affects our community.  Opportunities were also provided for attendees to register on our online vendor registration and ask questions about next steps.

Meetings were held:

May 14th 6-7:30pm at the Simpson Building, AB-Tech Victoria Campus
and
May 21st 6-7:30pm at the Haynes Center, AB-Tech Enka Campus
