Asheville Civic Center

Directions & Parking

The Asheville Civic Center wants to make getting to and from events simple and convenient. If you need additional assistance with directions to the Civic Center, please contact the Civic Center Box Office at (828) 259-5544.

Getting to the Civic Center from I-26, 19-23 or I-40

I-26 and I-40 come together in Asheville. Take either I-26, 19-23, or I-40 to Asheville, and then take I-240 into Asheville. Take exit 4C (Montford Ave./Haywood Street/Visitors Center), and then turn left onto Haywood Street (at light at top of off-ramp). The Civic Center will be located directly ahead. Once on Haywood Street, pass the Civic Center (street will curve south) and take the next left turn after the Civic Center into the Civic Center Parking Garage (between the Vanderbilt Apartments and Pack Memorial Library).

Additional Parking Options
Parking for patrons and guests attending Asheville Civic Center events is available in three municipal parking garages. The closest and most convenient garage is the Civic Center Garage, located adjacent to the facility. The Rankin Avenue Garage and Wall Street Garage are also convenient options for public parking.

If you are attending a popular or sold out event, it is best to arrive early to ensure you find convenient parking. The Civic Center is located in the heart of downtown and surrounded by world-class restaurants for dining before an event. Visit www.exploreasheville.com for a complete directory of dining establishments.

There are a number of private, paid surface lots in downtown Asheville that often support event parking. However, it is very important to avoid parking in any lot marked with signage that prohibits parking, even if that lot is empty. If a surface lot is marked with no parking signage, your car may be at risk of being towed.
