The City encourages everyone to take advantage of the Transit System, but recommends checking the ALERTS page before leaving to make sure there is not a service outage or route change that may affect your travel plans.

The City of Asheville’s ART (Asheville Redefines Transit) service will detour the following routes due to road closures for construction projects.

| S3 – McDowell – Biltmore Village – Hendersonville – Airport |
The detour will impact the first trip (5:30 a.m. – 7a.m.) and the last trip of the day (7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) between June 13, 2013 and November 25, 2014. S3 will detour using Biltmore Ave., Hospital Dr. and Doctors Dr. The only bus stops that will NOT be served during the detour are:
- McDowell at Hospital Dr. - Southbound
- McDowell at Doctors Dr. - Southbound
- McDowell at Doctors Dr. - Northbound at shelter below Mission entrance

E1 will detour from 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. between June 17, and June 20, and will not serve the transit stops on College St. at Court Plaza in front of the Buncombe County Court House.

E2 will detour at 6:30 a.m. (first outbound trip) and at 7:00 p.m. (last inbound trip), between June 17, and June 20, and will not serve the transit stop on College St. at Court Plaza in front of the Buncombe County Court House.

Route 170 will detour from 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m., and from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. between June 17, and June 20, and will not serve the transit stop on College St. at Court Plaza in front of the Buncombe County Court House. |

Starting on November 1, 2012, route N will change its routing by going to the ART Station twice an hour. This change will allow one new bus-stop on Haywood St. at College St. |

E1 – Tunnel Rd – Asheville Mall – Swannanoa River Rd. – VA
|
Route will turn at Bleachery Blvd. to serve the Wal-Mart/Kohls bus stop only on the inbound portion of the route instead of both inbound and outbound. |
