The Charlie District includes Asheville's south and central communities and is supervised by a district commander. Four sergeants and several officers also work in the Charlie District. The district sergeants supervise the daily work activities of the patrol officers, who work in assigned beats within the district.
Officers are assigned conduct 24-hour patrols in the district and actively participate in problem-solving activities with residents and business owners. Patrol activities involve bike patrol, foot patrol, and traditional vehicle patrol. In addition, officers can be found at many community social events throughout the year.
