The Park Maintenance Division not only oversees the care for every park, recreation center, greenway and special facility but also maintains the public facilities of the City of Asheville. A team of very dedicated and skilled staff of many disciplines executes these broad responsibilities.
Aside from maintenance, functions, in recent years the talented crews constructed a number of major parks and projects for the park system. The division is now refocusing its efforts on maintenance efforts rather than large-scale construction projects.
