PERMITTED LOTS
On-Street Permit Parking
On-street permit parking is available in several areas downtown at a rate of $30 - $45 per month, depending on location. Available permits are sold on a first come, first served basis from the waiting list (if any) and are sold or renewed only at the parking services office. Off-Street Permit Parking
Off-street permit parking is available in two lots immediately behind the Civic Center on either side of Rankin Avenue. These permits are priced at $55 per month. Available permits are sold on a first come, first served basis from the waiting list (if any). Please call Parking Services at (828) 259-5792 for details. Hourly parking is not available in these lots.
Off-Street Permit Parking on Haywood Street
The City of Asheville owns two lots and a small garage on Haywood Street at Page Avenue. These lots are generally referred to as the "Handi-Park" lots. Use of these lots is temporary, on a month-to-month basis until Feb 2012. Monthly permits are sold for $55 for outside parking. These lots may also be used occasionally for special event parking.
