The Asheville Fire Fighter's Association (Union Local 865), together with the Asheville Fire and Rescue Department, strive to keep local citizens safe from death or injury due to fire by upholding a program that will allow low income households to get a free smoke alarm.
The Asheville Fire Fighter's Association has smoke alarms available at local fire stations for citizens in need. One smoke alarm is provided per household. Any citizen in need of this assistance can contact (828) 259-5640 or stop by an Asheville Fire and Rescue department.
