The Traffic Engineering and Stormwater Services Divisions are responsible for administering the Environmental and Engineering Permits of the development process within the city limits.

Driveway Permits

The Traffic Engineering Division is responsible for the driveway permit process to insure the driveway is properly located, sized and constructed to maintain safe street and pedestrian traffic.

Grading, Stormwater, & Flood Permits

The Stormwater Services Division is responsible for the grading permit process to help insure measures are taken to prevent erosion/sediment/pollutants from leaving your development site during grading and construction. The division is also in charge of the stormwater permit process for developments that must retain additional stormwater runoff on their property to reduce the impact on adjacent properties. Finally, the division handles the flood permit process to prevent changes in flood hazard areas during grading and construction.

Right-of-Way Cut Permits

The Streets and Engineering Division is responsible for the right-of-way cut permit to insure asphalt, concrete, brick, and dirt cuts that are made within the right-of-way of City maintained streets for the purposes of installing or repairing public and private utilities are restored back to City standards.
